83rd Annual Meeting

The 83rd Annual Meeting will give you a unique perspective into the developments in Washington on the ongoing changes to the ACA and the changes and challenges facing Colorado. You will also hear from the Director of the Colorado Consortium for Prescription Drug Abuse on the leadership they are providing to Colorado. 

Rep. Ed Perlmutter, 7th Congressional District, will update the membership to the current status of the federal healthcare legislation and how those changes can affect Colorado.

Robert J. Valuck, PhD, RPh, FNAP, Professor Depts. of Clinical Pharmacy, Epidemiology and Family Med at the CU Schools of Pharmacy, Public Health & Medicine at Anschutz Dr. Valuck is the director of the Colorado Consortium for Prescription Drug Abuse Prevention, created by Governor Hickenlooper to address the prescription drug abuse problem with a collaborative, statewide approach.  The Consortium has evolved over the past four years to include nine work groups, with over 400  members across the state, focusing on key areas relating to education, prevention, intervention,  treatment and recovery.  The Consortium has gained recognition as a model for the development of collaborative, coordinated responses to the opioid overdose epidemic in the United States.

This will be your chance to meet and greet with Colorado leaders and expand your understanding of these complex issues.
